    Taylor Devices Inc. reported at the close of business Jan. 12 its first-quarter earnings and sales had risen by 13 and 14 percent, respectively. The North Tonawanda-based manufacturer (NASDAQ: TAYD) said second quarter net earnings of $138,774, up from last year's 2nd quarter earnings of $120,750, a gain of just over 14 percent.
