    Spar Group delivers 30% profit rise  May 4, 2007
    Johannesburg - Spar Group's first-half profit climbed as much as 30 percent, swelled by "buoyant" business conditions, the grocery, liquor and building materials distributor said yesterday. Earnings per share and per share profit, excluding one-time items, rose at least 25 percent from a year earlier in the six months to March, the Durban-based company said in a statement to the stock exchange.
